Legal cannabis hard candy sells at state-licensed dispensaries. Many dispensaries accept online orders for pickup. Delivery rules differ by state. Some states allow adult-use delivery. - Warning symbols: most states require a universal THC symbol and a keep-away-from-children notice.

- Price per milligram of THC. Divide the total price by total milligrams.
- Taxes. Washington charges a 37% excise tax at retail. California charges 15% excise plus sales tax.
- Onset. The CDC states edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to act.
- Duration. Effects can last 4 to 6 hours.
- Payment. Most dispensaries take cash or debit. Credit cards often fail.
- Package size. A 100 mg bag holds 10 pieces at 10 mg each. One piece is one serving.
Pitfalls
- Gas stations, smoke shops, and online marketplaces sell unregulated candy. Testing there is optional.
- Candy that copies a national brand is counterfeit. Licensed producers cannot use trademarked packaging.
- A label that says CBD can still hold THC. Ask for the COA.
- Hard candy looks like regular candy. Children mistake it. Store it locked.
- Counterfeit vape and edible products have caused illness. Buy from a licensed store.
Age and ID
Adult-use states require buyers to be 21 or older. Medical states often allow 18 or older with a state card. Retailers scan ID at the door and again at delivery. No ID, no sale.
